Recently our foundation phase groups hosted Bradford City Academy for some futsal fixtures. Providing our young players with an excellent opportunity to test themselves in a fast-paced futsal environment against high level academy opposition. The fixtures took place over a number of weeks, with a fantastic atmosphere that was full of energy, enthusiasm and competitive spirit.
Players from both sides showcased impressive technical ability, quick decision-making and creativity on the ball—qualities that futsal naturally encourages. Coaches from both clubs praised the attitude and effort shown by all players, highlighting the value of these fixtures in supporting player development.

For West Yorkshire Futsal Club, hosting a professional academy like Bradford City was a great opportunity to strengthen links within the local football academies while giving their players the chance to compete against high-level opposition. The fixtures are a brilliant example of how futsal can support the development of young footballers, helping them improve their ball mastery, movement and confidence in tight spaces. With more clubs recognising the benefits of the sport and introducing futsal to their academy programmes.
These fixtures also help us build a solid relationship with the club in terms off a pathway and opportunity for our players to get recognised. Creating stronger links between the futsal club and professional football academies. We’d like to personally thank Bradford city for coming down to play our teams and we're looking forward to further games in the coming future.
